The Nobel prize winners
Gathered in a hall in Stockholm
A hall filled with prize winners from the past
And in an honorary place on the wall, was Nobel
The noble man, who killed millions
Of men, women and children
With his abbreviated three letter invention.
The gathering was like a group of whales who
Were looking at the times passed – in sheer bewilderment –
Looking at dinosaur fossils of the past
Scratching their heads and secretly
Wiping the nervous sweat off
It was like Napoleon’s ghost – shorter than even Casper
Was haunting every one of them
As they slowly tried to creep out of the shadows of the past
Darwin, Edison and De Vinci among many others
But failed miserably……
As all of them acknowledged an almighty truth.,..
We are only as big as the times let us.
