Our Wedding Night

Ring Love

I knew I could never be a teacher
Only a pupil and she my wife
Would be the buxom teacher in front
And on that day, her chalk
Scribbled something elaborate and meaningful
Deep within my crumbling body
And the limestone – calcium carbonate dust –
Sank deep until knowledge erupted
From the open tip of bliss
And at that instant, the boy became a man
And the learner became the learned
And one lesson was forever etched inside the body
And my earth-shattering dream, was now as real
As the Hubble theory of bliss – having expanded exponentially
Until something broke the cosmic places
And the flesh fell down a worm hole
To ground earth – knowing now (and forever)
That the dreamy cosmonaut
Had finally landed on the moon
